Hi, I’m Fumi. I introduce one of the best spots to enjoy cherry blossoms viewing in Tokyo near the Shinjyuku Station.

Shinjyuku is very famous place for tourist in Tokyo.
What seasons do you want to come to Japan?

We have 4 seasons in a year and spring is the best to look around cities in Japan.
Because many flowers bloom everywhere, especially you will be surprised when you see cherry blossoms.

Have you ever heard “Cherry Blossom Viewing”?
It’s the traditional spring event for Japanese.

We call it “ohanami” in Japanese that means cherry blossoms viewing party.
You’ll see Japanese or tourist who sits under cherry blossoms and eat ohanami bento and drink beers at famous spots.

Shinjyuku is very famous place for tourist in Tokyo.
You can get to the Shinjyuku Gyoen easily from the Shinjyuku Station on your foot.

It takes about 10 minutes from the south exit of it.
You can take metros (Marunouchi line) and get off the Shinjyuku Sanchoume or Shinjyu Gyoen Mae.

You’ll get to the Shinjyuku Gyoen within 5 minutes from there.

Shinjyuku Gyoen is very crowded

In this ohanami season, Shinjyuku Gyoen is very crowded.
To see Sakura is a short period, so many people rush to go see them as soon as possible.

So many people are line in front of the machine to pay the entrance fee.
It costs just 200 yen, cheap!
Near the entrance, you’ll find a map in English.

Shinjyuku Gyoen is very large park, so you aren’t lost if you have the map.
Before you look around, you have to check the rules because this park is in a public area.

After you enter the entrance, you can find cherry blossoms on the right side soon.

There are different varieties of cherry blossoms, so you can enjoy viewing different types of them from the middle of February to the end of April. I went there the end of March, so they are in full blooms.

Enjoy touching cherry blossoms in Shinjyuku Gyoen, Tokyo

Many cherry blossoms trees are there and full bloom, very gorgeous aren’t they?

Surprisingly, I could touch cherry blossoms because some trunks are extending near a ground.

So, I went inside the cherry blossom and took selfie video Many tourists especially young ladies took many pictures inside the cherry blossom.

It looked fun and I was excited too, because it was my first time to go inside it.
Going inside the cherry blossom is super exiting and I posted my selfie video in Facebook.
